In addition to providing news and entertainment through broadcast channels–CNN, TNT, TBS, the Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies–Turner Broadcasting was caretaker for some of cinema's most iconic movies and shorts. This brochure outlines the painstaking approach taken to preserve and restore these cultural treasures.
This announcement heralded the restoration of vintage MGM films, a key part of Turner Broadcasting's mission. A new insert gave notice of each restored movie as it was released. Pulling the insert revealed a restored frame of film to compare with the untreated frame.
A weekly schedule of programming for CNN was sent to industry professionals and news outlets. The outer sleeve held the weekly accordion-folded schedules listing highlights of the week.
Different icons were used on a rotation basis on the cover of each weekly schedule.
In addition to its broadcast and conservation missions, Turner Broadcasting celebrated retired studio personnel with birthday cards, such as these popup cards and, one year, gifting a custom-designed commemorative coin celebrating the 50th anniversaries of Gone with the Wind and the Wizard of Oz.
